To Philip Black

No bleeding heart stuff. No lovey-dovey poems or puppy appeal. And don't you dare try to "aw" me. It's normal. What is? Everything that happens. There is no circus, whatever happens is normal. Normal as in when I'm about to swallow my drink you decide it's the perfect moment for the lamest, funniest joke ever. When it's my turn to be funny (we do balance each other quite well, don't we?) you can bet on the most hysterical Johnny Depp-ish laugh. Ideas that are produced from dust, and accepted as royal. Tacky, straight-forward, unpredicted, pathetic or kitsch? Count us in. Your timing is amazing, your pedantry, appealing. Your memory beats the whole Africa of elephants. You always have gum, you are always keen on discussing the movie while it's playing, you are always game for the bizarre thoughts I may conjure. Our brains seem to be connected on our own private network. There is never a better time to be enjoying ourselves than now, isn't that so? And I drink to that. Water or a non-teeth-blackening drink. To put it bluntly, dear... Cheers.

Echoing

Though the mind is racing at frantic limits, thoughts have been sort of agorafobic. Nothing Ghostbusters couldn't solve after a couple of months. Useless to give our best positive vibe for unworthy causes. I left the "why?" labyrinth without even remembering what brought me in, to begin with. See? Already forgotten.
Then I stumbled across a piece of quotation from my "it" atomic cientist Richard Feynman that fit right it.

"Do not keep saying to yourself, if you can possibly avoid it, 'But how can it be like that?' because you will get down the drain, into a blind alley from which nobody has yet escaped. Nobody knows how it can be like that"

And for the record, it wasn't Feynman alone who put the sparkle back into my eyes. You simply stop asking how it can be like that because something else just caught your attention. Something fun, something yummy. But that's a whole other epiphany....
